ADS-B Out (DO-260B)

Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (Link 2000+)
Link 2000+, while not yet mandated, is in operation throughout Europe. This data-link channel enables a more reliable and easier means of communication between pilots and busy air traffic controllers. Take advantage of streamlined communications with Link 2000+ and fly your more preferred routes to all your favorite European destinations.
Surface Management System (takeoff and landing alerts)
Absence of positional awareness has led to takeoffs on wrong runways or even taxiways landings. Increase your awareness with aural and visual cues alerting you to unsafe ground and arrival operations. Installing the Surface Management System is like bringing another set of eyes on board, reducing the risk of runway incursion or confusion at all your complex destinations.
Dual XM Satellite Weather and dual data-link graphical weather
Increases awareness of changing weather patterns by complementing the on-board weather radar system with XM Satellite or data link strategic weather. Strategic weather easily overlays the navigational map for a seamless view of both your flight plan and weather. It allows crews to make informed decisions to safely navigate around growing weather threats.

Loss of Data link could result in increased fuel burn, longer flight times, increase crew workload and fatigue. Mitigate any of those risks with second data link redundancy ensuring your ability to complete your mission as planned.

Expand airport possibilities. Land at airports with approach profiles up to a 5.5-degree glide slope. Ideal for city center operations and airports in mountainous terrain.
Second Synthetic Vision System (SVS)
On approach into a busy, unfamiliar airport, SVS creates a virtual Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) environment by adding distinct mile markers, runway highlights, lead-ins and airport dome to easily identify any destination airport. Maintain that virtual VMC environment by adding a redundant SVS module to the aircraft, assuring that the 3D perspective view you've grown accustomed to is always displayed.
Third Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS)
Direct access to charts, enhanced map overlays, maintenance manuals and current weather on the large, high-resolution MFD. Unsurpassed availability and convenience, with no need to carry on a separate device.

Synthetic Vision System (SVS)
The Global 5000 and Global 6000 are the first business aircraft to equip SVS on our Head-up Guidance System (HGS™), creating our Head-up Vision System (HVS). Displaying an SVS image on both the primary flight display and the head-up display provides better situational awareness in low-visibility conditions or when approaching an unfamiliar, terrain-challenged airport. SVS integrates multiple databases with real-time flight information, displaying a lifelike image of landscape, water and obstacles. Now, your flight crews can operate like it’s a clear day, every day.
Enhanced Vision System (EVS)
Make a “Go/No Go” decision with confidence. In low-visibility conditions, gain real-time awareness of terrain or real-time obstacles in your aircraft’s flight path. Even at night, in light fog or rain, EVS reveals taxiways, runway markings, adjacent highways and potential deer on the runway, making landings more certain and safer.
Head-up Vision System (HGS + SVS/EVS)
Mitigate unstable approaches by having critical flight information in pilots’ forward field of view for extra control, greater flight-path awareness and increased safety. Our Head-up Vision System (HVS) also enables the crew to take advantage of lower landing minima available only with head-up displays. HVS helps mitigate the potential for go-arounds, putting aircraft and passengers on the ground faster with less fuel burn.
MultiScan? full-color weather radar
You can’t control bad weather, but you can avoid it with a fully automated radar operation displaying the complete weather picture out to 320 nautical miles ahead of your aircraft. Set the radar in AUTO mode and your pilots will no longer need to make adjustments to tilt or gain controls. Additional features include certified turbulence detection out to 40 nautical miles and OverFlight™ protection, which mitigates the risk of inadvertently penetrating thunderstorm tops.
Reduced Radio Frequency Congestion
The integrated flight deck onboard the Global 5000/6000 includes Future Air Navigation (FANS) reducing your workload when flying the mandated preferred North Atlantic Tracks or other participating regions.
In addition to the preferred tracks, FANS also allows crews to take advantage of expedited departures when utilizing the U.S. Departure Clearance (DCL) service. Digital communication reduces read-back errors and improves controller and pilot efficiency and increases system throughput at the 56 established airports.
